A Banda Flags
A Banda have two specially-made flags, which announce our presence at parades and on stage. They also record and present our history.

The A Banda Standard The A Banda standard is made of red velvet with golden trim. On it, you can see our band logo, an illustration of the spires of Copenhagen and the dates of our tours to Brazil. On the back of the standard are the Danish and Brazilian flags.

Boi Viking On the Wednesday after every Carnival in Olinda, Brazil, after all the tourists have gone home, the town hosts a special "running of the bulls". (Boi is Portuguese for "bull".) But the bulls in Olinda this night are not animals--they are carnival bands! It's a special street party for locals only. In 2005, A Banda received the honor of a special invitation to join the Olinda running of the bulls. To commemorate the event, we had this special banner made, which links the boi tradition of Olinda with the Viking history of Denmark. |
