Depart for Rio de Janeiro.
Meet at Copenhagen Airport at 18:30 hrs.
20:00 hrs Copenhagen/Rio de Janeiro with Varig
Airlines, approx. 14 hours.
Saturday 7th February
Arrive Rio de Janeiro international airport Galeão approx. 11 o'clock.
Transfer to Copacabana Praia
Hotel, Rua Tenente Marones de Gusmão 85,
Copacabana.
Check in to accommodation in 8 person hotel flats. Each flat has
4x2 bunk beds, lavatory/shower and kitchenette.
A quiet district with no though traffic. Supermarket , baker, apothecary
close by as are a Visa auto-teller, clothes and record shops etc. Another
supermarket a little further away is open until midnight.
Ten minutes' walk to Copacabana beach. Buses direct to beaches at
Ipanema/Leblon, the city centre, etc.

Rio de Janeiro/Angra dos Reis via Barra da Tijúca by bus, approx. 2 hrs.
Angra dos Reis/Ilha Grande by boat, approx. 1 hr. 20 min.

Check in to accommodation in main town Vila do Abraão, at Albergue da Juventude Ilha
Grande.
Rooms have 2x2 bunk beds. Two rooms share shower/lavatory.
In the village: a couple of very small supermarkets sell necessities.

Depart for Morro de São Paulo, the residential main centre of the
island Ilha do Tinharé, Bahia.
Paraty/Rio de Janeiro (Galeão) by chartered bus, approx. 4 hrs.
Rio de Janeiro/Salvador with Varig Airlines, approx. 2 hrs.
Salvador Airport/Valença by chartered bus, approx. 3 hrs.
Valença/Morro de São Paulo by boat, approx. 1 hr.
From harbour to pousada on foot, about 15-30 mins.
Check in to various pousadas.

Morro de São Paulo/Salvador by scooner, approx. 6 hrs.
Move into Albergue Solar in the historic centre of Salvador, Pelourinho.
Rooms are mostly ?x? bunks with showers/lavatories in corridor.
There is a limited number of shops in the immediate vicinity.
Most shops and banks are closed during carnival.

Praia do Forte, Bahia - but in Salvador the party goes on...

Check in to Pousada João Sol, Praia do Forte.
3-person rooms -- 1 double, one single bed
The village has only a few small shops.
Beach is about 10 mins. walk from pousada.
